Funerals / Memorial Services
A funeral or memorial service marks the close of a human life on earth. It is an opportunity for friends and family members to express their grief, give thanks for the life of their loved one and commend him or her into God's keeping.
A funeral in any of the Anglican churches in Broken Hill and the Far West, are always conducted with dignity and respect.
The Anglican Churches are available to those of all faiths or no faith, for funerals and memorial services. If you wish us to help plan or officiate at the service our clergy are available to you.
When planning a funeral there are forms provided for in A Prayer Book for Australia and the Book of Common Prayer. It is important, however, and entirely possible to craft a service that fits with the individual circumstances of each death.
Appropriate Bible Readings, psalm, prayers, music, hymns, as well as compiling a Eulogy for your loved one, can be discussed with the Rector.
