Our Ministry Team
Reverend Helen Ferguson PSM
I was born and educated in Broken Hill and have lived here all my life. Married to Gary for 48 Years, we have two loyal sons, two delightful daughters-in-law, and three wonderful grandsons, all who live in Broken Hill.
After completing Secretarial studies, I was employed in two local businesses prior to commencing work at Social Security where I worked for 32 years. After graduating with my Social Work degree, I was employed by the Department as a Social Worker, working a lot with people in remote areas as well as Disaster Recovery work. I have been awarded the Australia Day medal for Services to Community, The Queen’s Birthday Public Service Medal for Outstanding Public Service, the Golden Wattle award for Services to Lifeline. I am the honorary Chaplain of NSW Ambulance service for the officers in Broken Hill.
As I look back over my life, I can see the path God has set for me. The eldest of a large and very loving and supportive family gave me ground-work in, and a great love and respect, for people. My community is very important to me and I proudly and earnestly work hard to bring God’s word to his people. I am very blessed indeed.
